DC-101 PRINCIPLES OF EVERYDAY DEFENSE (1 DAY)

FRIDAY, JUNE 7

Instructor Group: Ben Morgan & Battleline Tactical

A one day course held on our Academy grounds in Tennessee designed to immerse students in the beginning concepts of self defense and an “active” mindset. Students will work in small group rotations throughout the day as they focus on a cross section of the basic defense package alongside specialized instructors.

The classroom portion includes lectures and interactive scenarios that develop the mindset of an “active and capable” person. Students will be exposed through these critical thinking exercises to habits and concepts for a strong defensive mindset. Following the classroom, breakout sessions will take student small groups through a basic introduction of self defense (combatives) where hands on tutorials will teach students defensive skills to overcome attackers and win the fight. The final portion of learning for the day will cover the basics of the defensive handgun. Students will head to our 100 yd. “coliseum-style” flat range to work with instructors on the basic fundamentals of manipulating the handgun and shooting accurately.

Our Principles of Everyday Self Defense course is a great class for couples, women and any civilian looking to gain knowledge and habits towards better protecting themselves and their loved ones. It is additionally well suited for people in higher risk employment where additional education reduces risk and increases safety. This is a good stepping stone into the world of self reliance..
